21CN is BT's next generation network - an advanced communications network for the future. This new network will establish a platform, supported by common standards and interfaces, for all communication services – whether voice, data, video or internet, enabling communication between any device, from anywhere, at any time. Establishing 21CN will involve the transfer of some 30 million BT Wholesale lines onto the new infrastructure. BT, working with all of the UK’s communications and network providers, will begin this migration in November 2006 in the Cardiff area. The aim is to complete all exchanges in 2011.
